Jenkins! Have you been huffing paint again?!

I hope everyone had a great New Year weekend.  I spent some quality time at home relaxing and catching up on sleep and not partying.  I also had a chance to bust out the paint again for the first time in more weeks (OK, months) than I really care to think about.  As a consequence, my gator force grew by two big grumpy turtles and Caliban the Gravewalker.

My wife got hold of one of the turtles and snapped a few pictures.  Then inspiration struck and she pulled out a little keychain flash drive she has.  She titled this one “pep talk” but to me it looks more like a solid dressing-down about not abusing drugs on the battlefields of the Iron Kingdoms:

‘Twas the night before Christmas…..

And all the gamers all snug in their beds with visions of Midnight Madness T-shirts dancing through their heads.

OK, so I butchered the poem.  Still it was for a good cause.  If you’re coming to TempleCon2012, your chance to order Midnight Madness T-shirts is now open.  Follow the link on over to the site and order your shirt.  These WILL NOT be available for purchase at the convention in any sort of large quantity, so make sure to order one now for pickup at the convention to insure that you’ll be able to get a shirt in your size.  Don’t take the risk and possibly miss out on this awesomeness:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Greetings everyone, or at least all three of you reading this.  The weather’s turned cold, my office has had its annual holiday party, and I spent last night eating tasty, tasty cookies sent by my father.  That means it must almost be Christmas.

So, I want to wish you all a great holiday season of fun with family and friends and a good start to the new year.  I’ll probably not update this site or send out another e-mail blast until after New Year’s Day, but I’m very much looking forward to next year.  TempleCon is less than six weeks away, Steamroller 2012 is on the horizon and looking like a lot of fun, I’ve gotten some great feedback from everyone on my little survey here, and ideas for new events are percolating in my brain as I type this.  2012 is going to be pretty damn cool and, in the spirit of the season, here are my “resolutions” for the new year:

  • I’m going to update this web page more frequently – at least once every couple weeks – with content people will want to read
  • Despite school schedule, I’m going to get my ass back in front of the painting table and get color on models
  • I’m going to roll out some new events at the Hobby Bunker and Toys n Things for everyone to enjoy
  • I’m going to have a blast at TempleCon and do my best to get to either Lock n Load or GenCon as well
  • Lastly, I resolve to play more games (of WM/H and other games in general) than I did in 2011 because that was pathetic

Have a great one everyone and see you in the new year!
